Vani's TOS for ADOPTABLES

Hello! This page serves as a means to explain my terms regarding adoptable purchases, my terms and your rights as buyer upon acquiring my designs. Please read carefully and if you have any questions or need clarity you are most welcome to reach out to me.

Adopts

For Adoptables:- Once you adopt a character from me, you’re free to do as you wish since you have officially purchased the rights to the character. You may change up the design, gender/sex, add to the design, subtract as you see fit. Anything goes, I just ask for credit for the initial design/concept whether you plan on keeping the art I created of the design or if you get another artist to create a reference for you.- Regarding trades and resales, you’re allowed to resale the character for the same value you purchased the character for. The only time a higher price is acceptable is if you have additional art or tangible items such as plushies, a suit, etc to accompany the character design. Resales are good to go for all designs made from me, however for trades, I wish for those to only be limited to adopts made on the bases. Any “solo” adopts should only be resold. This is due to the amount of time that goes into the solo designs I do, so to see them passed around and traded all over the place is extremely disheartening. My hopes for solos is for them to have a good home and to be cherished since I treat them as if I’m creating an OC for myself. So only resales for these only, please. Thank you for understanding.- You’re allowed to turn my designs into products such as plushies and suits if you wish! I just ask for credit for the initial design. Feel free to always share with me the stuff made of my designs, I absolutely love seeing it. For commercial sales such as apparel and much, commercial rights must be purchased separately. Negotiations can be discussed prior to sale. I generally will ask for a percentage of the initial sale on top of the total price for commercial rights.

Payment Plans

Regarding Payment Plans- Payment plans are generally only allowed on adopts over $500. However, they can not be any longer than two weeks, unless prior communication is discuessed and an exception can be made. Just ask.
- Adopts between $500-$1k have a limit of 30 days for a payment arrangement.-Adopts over $1k are allowed 1-3 months for a payment arrangement.-I accept most major payment platforms: Paypal, Square, Stripe, Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle, etc. Please contact me in advance if you have any questions about sending payments. Paypal or Square invoicing is usually my choice, especially for larger adopts.- I understand that things can come up, so I will allow up to 1-3 extensions during the course of the plan. Just communicate with me please. Small adopts only get 1 extension.- All plans require at least 30% of the amount upfront (or more if you choose to do so) to secure the plan and is non-refundable. Please understand you are purchasing a finished product and I am trusting you to follow through on your plan. Failing to understand this and not fulfilling your plan will result in a loss on your end and I will relist the adopt to sell to a new buyer- Refunds are only allowed on unfinished adopts.- For all payment plans, I allow a grace period of 24 hours to up to one week. If you fail to communicate, miss the deadline or don't request an extension ahead of schedule, your plan will be considered null and void. This also results in being blacklisted from being able to use a payment plan with me ever again. Do not waste my time.- All sales are final, refunds are not allowed on any adoptables unless they are unfinished and still have work needed to be done on them.- Chargebacks will result in an immediate blacklist and you will not be allowed to purchase any adopts from me ever again.

Bases

For Bases:- Once you have purchased my base, you are free to create your own designs whether it be for personal use or to make your own adoptables for sale. You can also use them to make reference sheets for pre-existing characters you already own.- You’re allowed to accept custom design commissions on the base for those who wish to make use of this base for an idea they have. Anything goes.- Feel free to price your designs and commissions using my base as you see fit, I encourage users to price accordingly based on the time spent on the designs you create. There is no limit to how much you’re allowed to make. I just want my bases to help people out financially.- When my base is used in any fashion, you must credit me by linking back to either my Furaffinity gallery, Twitter, or E-junkie Store link so others can purchase! Please do not simply credit me by saying “Base by Vani”, these links are acceptable:

https://vani-illustrations.e-junkie.com/- You’re allowed to make your own edits as you see fit, there are no restrictions regarding this. You still must credit me though.- I only sell PSDs of my bases which is accessible on all art programs, I do not make any other versions. Please do not ask me to make another version.- You absolutely can not, under any circumstances, sell the base off or share it with others once you have purchased it. If someone wishes to use the base, they must purchase the base directly from my store using the store link provided. If you are caught doing this or it is brought to my attention by someone else, you will be blacklisted here on this TOS form.
